We have updated and improved the Credential Exam Handbook to coincide with the new credentialing software program. It does not yet cover the new Associate Credential Program, but the software and testing processes are the same. Look for that update soon.

With this document, the International Association of ESD Professionals (Association) provides guidance for the ethical conduct of Empowerment Self Defense (ESD) professionals and clarifies where and how practice behaviors might diverge and therefore be unethical. The Code of Ethics spells out both the duty of beneficence (to do good) and the duty of non-malfeasance (to do no harm). We also support and uphold the practices in other Codes of Ethics developed by the ESD industry.
