Our vision is to establish Empowerment Self Defense as a key tool in the international work of violence prevention.
Our mission is to engender trust and public safety in and within the broader Self Defense Industry through standards setting in Self Defense practice. We accomplish this through Empowerment Self Defense Professionals support services—including credentialing and continuing education, public awareness campaigns focusing on the benefits of Empowerment Self Defense Practice, and increased global reach through official agency funding.
Empowerment Self Defense is rooted in the idea that we are stronger when we support each other—both in our daily lives and on a broader scale. You each bring unique energy, resources, and expertise to IAESDP, and together we create a safe and nourishing community.
